Newly signed welterweight Chidi Njokuani will make his first appearance in the Bellator MMA cage when he tangles with Ricky Rainey next month in Oklahoma.

The organization on Tuesday announced the addition of the Njokuani-Rainey matchup to the main card of Bellator 146, which takes place Nov. 20 at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla. Other bouts confirmed for the event include a middleweight headliner between Melvin Manhoef and Hisaki Kato, plus a featherweight fight pitting Bubba Jenkins against Jordan Parsons.

Njokuani, the younger brother of former UFC lightweight Anthony Njokuani, will enter the cage on a five-fight unbeaten streak and having won eight of his last 10 stretching back to 2012. The 26-year-old Texas native captured the Tachi Palace Fights welterweight title in his last outing, a five-round split decision against Max Griffin in May. Njokuani inked a multi-fight deal with Bellator in July.

Rainey, 32, will look to build off the momentum of back-to-back wins under the Bellator banner. Since suffering a first-round knockout against Michael Page, “The Sniper” has recorded two stoppages of his own against Jesse Juarez and Johnny Cisneros.
