Claudia Gadelha-Aisling Daly Strawweight Bout Added to UFC’s Debut in Poland

A women’s strawweight bout between Aisling Daly and Claudia Gadelha has been added to UFC Fight Night “Gonzaga vs. Cro Cop 2” on April 11.

Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the pairing on Thursday. The UFC Fight Pass-streamed card takes place at Krakow Arena and marks the Las Vegas-based promotion’s first trip to Poland. The event is headlined by a heavyweight rematch between Gabriel Gonzaga and Mirko Filipovic.

Gadelha, 26, is coming off the first loss of her career, a split decision defeat against Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC on Fox 13. The Nova Uniao product owns victories over Invicta Fighting Championship’s atomweight titlist Herica Tiburcio, Kalindra Faria and Valerie Letourneau.

Daly, 27, was prominently featured on “The Ultimate Fighter 20.” Her stint on the Fox Sports 1 reality show culminated in a victory at the show’s finale on Dec. 12, where she finished Alex Chambers via submission. A member of SBG Ireland, “Ais the Bash” has not lost since dropping three consecutive fights in 2012.
