Clay Guida-Dennis Bermudez Featherweight Tilt Added to UFC on Fox 12

Clay Guida and Dennis Bermudez will lock horns at UFC on Fox 12, Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced Friday.

The event takes place July 26 at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., and will additionally see Anthony Johnson collide with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in a light heavyweight duel.

Guida, 32, has won two of his last three since dropping to featherweight last year. “The Carpenter” suffered an August defeat to the highly-regarded Chad Mendes last August but rebounded in his most recent bout, outpointing former Shooto champion Tatsuya Kawajiri last month at UFC Fight Night “Minotauro vs. Nelson.”

Bermudez, 27, has won six straight fights heading into his clash with Guida. “The Ultimate Fighter 14” featherweight finalist posted three victories in 2013 and kicked off this year with a dominant win over Jim Hettes, finishing the grappler via third-round technical knockout at UFC 171.
