Cody Gibson will lock horns with Douglas Silva de Andrade at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 22.
Gibson, 27, is 1-2 in the Octagon, following a second-round submission loss to Manny Gamburyan in his most recent appearance at UFC 178. The Tachi Palace Fights veteran debuted in the Las Vegas-based promotion at UFC 170, dropping a unanimous verdict to Aljamain Sterling. He rebounded to score his first UFC triumph in June, a 38-second technical knockout against Johnny Bedford.
Silva, meanwhile, suffered his first defeat in 24 professional outings at UFC Fight Night “Machida vs. Mousasi,” as he lost a unanimous decision against Zubaira Tukhugov on Feb. 15. The 29-year-old Brazilian has finished 18 of his 22 career victories by knockout or technical knockout.
