“The Ultimate Fighter 16” winner Colton Smith will attempt to halt a two-fight skid when he squares off with Carlos Diego Ferreira at a UFC Fight Night event on June 28.

The promotion recently announced the booking, which will take place at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The card is headlined by a featherweight showdown pitting Cub Swanson against Jeremy Stephens.

After besting Mike Ricci in the welterweight finale of “TUF 16,” Smith suffered a third-round TKO defeat to “TUF: The Smashes” alum Robert Whittaker at UFC 160. The 26-year-old then dropped to lightweight for his next bout at UFC Fight Night 31, where he was submitted in the second round by Michael Chiesa.

The Legacy Fighting Championship lightweight titlist, Ferreira is unbeaten in nine bouts since making his professional debut in April 2011. Ferreira went 3-0 under the Legacy FC banner, taking a five-round verdict over Jorge Patino to capture promotional gold in his most recent outing this past November.
