Conor McGregor Mocks Nate Diaz’s Fashion Sense During ‘Conan’ Appearance

Conor McGregor wasn’t able to join Nate Diaz to appear on “Conan” Tuesday night, but that didn’t prevent the brash Irishman from poking fun at his rival’s wardrobe in a video message delivered from Las Vegas.

“What’s up Conan, sorry I couldn’t make the show this week, but as a present to you I sent Nate in my place,” McGregor said. “I just hope he’s not up on that stage wearing that stupid black T-shirt he’s never out of. The boy has been wearing that same T-shirt for the past 20 years or something.

“I’m taking this contest very seriously,” he added. “I’ve flown in specific body types to replicate Nate’s skinny tall frame. The boy won the lotto the last time. He knows it. I know it. Well, Aug. 20 I get my revenge and I look forward to it.”

McGregor moved up to 170 pounds to face Diaz at UFC 196 on March 5. After a solid opening round, the SBG Ireland representative was rocked and ultimately submitted 4:12 into the second round of their encounter in Las Vegas.

The two men will square off again in the UFC 202 headliner at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Aug. 20. Diaz was typically succinct in his response to McGregor’s message.

“The truth came out,” Diaz said. “And the truth will be Aug. 20 when it goes down again.”
