Bookmakers have pegged new UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor as an early betting favorite in a potential second bout with former divisional king Jose Aldo.

McGregor exceeded all expectations on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas when he wiped out Aldo with a 13-second, one-punch knockout.
McGregor was also picked as the favorite for UFC 194 when the matchup was officially rescheduled in August. Interestingly, the Irishman was a heavier favorite for that matchup, opening at roughly -200 to Aldo’s +155 line. Those odds flipped in the proceding months, and by fight time on Saturday, Aldo was a very slight favorite at -115.
Interestingly, some bookmakers have also opened lines on a potential showdown between McGregor and Frankie Edgar. According to BestFightOdds.com, “The Notorious” is the odds-on favorite in that fight, too, as McGregor currently sits at around -175 to Edgar’s +165.
