John Kavanagh, the head coach for SBG Ireland, which has produced the likes of Irish superstar Conor McGregor and grappling ace Gunnar Nelson has blasted the Ultimate Fighting Championship for not covering his fight-week expenses for fight week in the lead up to “The Ultimate Fighter 27” Finale card on Friday.

Kavanagh posted his thoughts on his official Twitter account airing his disappointment at not being picked up by the UFC from the airport and then having to pay for his own flight and hotel during his stay for fight week.

“I guess times hard at @ufc. (They) just messaged me to say they can’t collect me from (the) airport, so (I) need to make my own way to hotel even though I’ve (got) an @UltimateFighter finalist and (an) undercard guy on Friday. Also paid for my own flight/hotel as they only cover one warm up each #prayforUFC”

Kavanagh’s tweet has since been deleted. Image can be found here.

“The Ultimate Fighter” 27 Finale takes place this Friday night (July 6) and will be headlined by a middleweight fight between the highly-touted Israel Adesanya against Brad Tavares.

In the lightweight division, Team Miocics’ Mike Trizano will battle with Team Cormier’s Joe Giannetti.

Team Cormier’s Brad Katona has already qualified and will also face the winner of the yet-to-be-televised bout between Jay Cucciniello and Tyler Diamond for the featherweight title.
