The promotion announced the bout on Wednesday. LFA 83 takes place at The Bomb Factory in Dallas on March 9 and will also see Justin Patterson square off against Matt Dixon in the evening’s welterweight co-main event. The card will air on UFC Fight Pass at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
A former LFA featherweight king, Jackson vacated his belt to compete in Professional Fighters League’s 2019 season, where he suffered a 10-second knockout loss against Movlid Khaybulaev in his lone appearance on May 23. “The Leech” also fought three times under the UFC banner from 2015 to 2016.
The 31-year-old Chaulet enters the matchup on a three-bout winning streak, which includes a split-decision triumph against Samson Phommabout in his promotional debut at LFA 75 this past September.
Three other bouts were also confirmed for the LFA 83 main card: Hailey Cowan vs. TBD at bantamweight; Emeka Ifekandu vs. TBA at featherweight and Vernon Lewis vs. Austen Lane at heavyweight.
