Dan Hooker will face Jason Knight in a featherweight contest at UFC Fight Night in Melbourne on Nov. 27.
Promotion officials confirmed the pairing on Tuesday following an initial report from the New Zealand Herald. UFC Fight Night takes place at Rod Laver Arena and is headlined by a middleweight rematch between Luke Rockhold and Ronaldo Souza.
A native of Auckland, New Zealand, Hooker has gone 3-2 during his promotional tenure. He last appeared at UFC Fight Night “Hunt vs. Mir” in March, when he submitted Mark Eddiva in the first round.
After falling to Tatsuya Kawajiri in his Octagon debut, Knight earned a split-decision triumph against Jim Alers at UFC on Fox 20 this past July. The 24-year-old Mississippi native 14-2 as a professional, including nine victories via submission.
