Dan Miragliotta Draws Referee Assignment for Guida-Maynard at UFC on FX 4

Dan Miragliotta has been assigned referee duties for the UFC on FX 4 main event clash between Gray Maynard and Clay Guida on June 22.

Sherdog.com learned the news of Miragliotta’s assignment from the New Jersey Athletic Control Board on Thursday. The NJSACB also revealed that Eric Colon, Sue Sanidad and Jose Tabora will judge the lightweight bout, which takes place at Revel Atlantic City in Atlantic City, N.J., and will be televised on FX.

According to FightMetric.com, Miragliotta has refereed a total of 137 fights for the UFC, Strikeforce, EliteXC and the IFL. Most recently he presided over three bouts on the May 15 UFC on Fuel TV 3 card, including the main event showdown between Chan Sung Jung and Dustin Poirier, which “The Korean Zombie” won via submission in round four.

All told, Miragliotta has been in charge of 13 UFC matches thus far in 2012, including the UFC on Fuel TV 1 headliner between Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez. He will be in the Octagon for a total of four of the 12 fights on the June 22 card. The refereeing roster for the event will also include Yves Lavigne, Kevin Mulhall and Gasper Oliver.

Colon has scored fights at Bellator 63, 65 and 68 as well as the UFC on Fuel TV 3 in 2012. He produced the lone 29-28 scorecard in favor of Ailton Barbosa in Kris McCray’s split-decision triumph over the American Top Team product at Bellator 65. Other notable events worked by Colon include UFC 101 and UFC 78.

Sanidad has judged three events apiece at Bellator 65 and Bellator 68 so far this year, while Tabora will be drawing the first major assignment of his judging career. A former professional fighter with two bouts on his record, Tabora has been a fixture on the northeastern fight scene, judging regional cards such as the New Jersey-based Ring of Combat promotion.

Five other judges will score the June 22 card: Michelle Agustin, Jon Bilyk, Henry Krawiec, Carlos Rodriguez and Vincent Sinclair.
