According to UFC President Dana White, former bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey will get married to UFC heavyweight Travis Browne on the very same day. The two confirmed their engagement in April but did not reveal a specific wedding date.
“Ronda Rousey gets married tomorrow. Tomorrow is her wedding,” White revealed on The Rich Eisen Show on Friday. “And she’s in a good place, she’s really happy, and she hasn’t announced her retirement or anything like that. She’s focusing on this wedding.”
When asked by Eisen if the couple would be honeymooning in Las Vegas for the ‘Money Fight,’ White said the he only recently got the invitation. When Rousey asked him if he would attend, White said “absolutely.” However, those plans changed when “Rowdy” told him the wedding would take place on Saturday.
“Of all the days, she’s like, ‘I’m getting married,’” White said.
The UFC boss did not reveal the location of the wedding during the interview. Rousey hasn’t competed since suffering a 48-second technical knockout loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on Dec. 30. Browne, meanwhile, suffered his fourth consecutive loss against Alexey Oleynik at UFC 213 on July 8.
