Dana White Says Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino vs. Amanda Nunes is ‘The Fight to Make’
While Cristiane Justino vs. Megan Anderson has been the hot topic of late, UFC President has other ideas about the next title defense for “Cyborg.”

On Tuesday, Justino announced that she had accepted a fight against Anderson at UFC 221 in Perth, Australia on Feb. 10. Anderson denied the bout was in the works, although she did claim that the promotion wanted to book the fight eventually.
Justino is coming off a five-round decision victory over Holly Holm in the UFC 219 headliner on Dec. 30. Nunes, meanwhile, hasn’t competed since capturing a split verdict over Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 215 on Sept. 9. White doesn’t currently have a timetable for “Cyborg” vs. Nunes, but soon would be ideal.
“Cyborg wants to fight so we’ll get her a fight as soon as we can get it done,” White said. “As soon as Amanda can prepare and get ready for this fight, we’re ready to roll.”
When Germaine de Randamie was featherweight champion, Nunes balked at a potential showdown with Justino, while “Cyborg” hasn’t been keen on fighting a fellow Brazilian. None of that matters now, White said.
“When you’re the world champion, it doesn’t matter if you’re fighting a Brazilian, a German, a Puerto Rican, a friggin’ Cuban, whoever,” White said. “You fight whoever comes and tries to take your belt from you.”
