Dana White Says Daniel Cormier vs. Anthony Johnson Will Headline UFC 206

The light heavyweight championship showdown between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson will apparently headline UFC 206.

While the bout was announced last week, at the time it was not confirmed as the headliner for the Dec. 10 event. As of Wednesday evening on UFC.com, Cormier vs. Johnson is listed below a “to be determined fight,” which has only increased speculation that the event will feature the return of former welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre.

When Cormier questioned Dana White about the website during UFC Tonight on Wednesday, the UFC president claimed that it was simply an incorrect listing.

“You’re the main event,” White said. “There shouldn’t be a TBD above you.”

In recent months, St. Pierre has hinted that a return could be imminent, and that the only issue regarding him fighting again would be contract negotiations with the UFC. Meanwhile, White has consistently dispelled the notion that St. Pierre is serous about a comeback, and he did so once again on UFC Tonight.

“I know guys that want to fight, and he’s not one of them,” White said.
