A lightweight pairing pitting Daron Cruickshank against Beneil Dariush has been made for UFC 185 on March 14.
Cruickshank, 29, was most recently the victim of an accidental eye poke from K.J. Noons at “The Ultimate Fighter 20” finale. The mishap rendered their bout a no contest. Overall, “The Detroit Superstar” holds a record of 6-3 under the UFC banner.
Dariush, 25, has bounced back from the first loss of his career -- a technical knockout defeat against Ramsey Nijem at UFC Fight Night “Minotauro vs. Nelson” -- with two straight victories. Most recently, the Kings MMA product handed Carlos Diego Ferreira the first blemish of his fighting career, a unanimous decision win at UFC 179.
