A featherweight contest pitting Darren Elkins against Robert Whiteford has been added to Oct. 24’s UFC Fight Night “Poirier vs. Duffy” card in Dublin.
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials released the information to British outlet The Sun as well as Irish website The42 Monday morning.
The card, which goes down at the 3Arena, now is complete with 12 bouts.
Elkins (18-5) will enter the contest on the heels of a unanimous decision loss to Hacran Dias last December. The 31-year-old Duneland Vale Tudo product is 8-4 in the UFC.
Whiteford (12-2) will bring a two-fight winning streak to the Octagon on Oct. 24. The 32-year-old Scottish prospect is 2-1 in the UFC with wins against Paul Redmond and Daniel Pineda. His lone loss with the promotion came against Jim Hettes in his big-league debut.
UFC Fight Night “Poirier vs. Duffy” is headlined by a lightweight showdown as Dustin Poirier will take on Joseph Duffy, who is the last man to defeat UFC interim featherweight ace Conor McGregor.
