Just as he was prior to their scheduled bout at Bellator 123, Tom DeBlass has been forced out of his matchup at Bellator 131 with Muhammed Lawal due to an injury.
DeBlass tweeted a picture of the injury on Saturday. Sherdog.com subsequently confirmed with Bellator MMA that the fight is off. When asked if “King Mo” will still compete on the Nov. 15 card in San Diego, Calif., a promotion official said, “Mo will fight; we’ll get a fight together.”

The 32-year-old DeBlass all but retired in another post, saying that with no future fight lined up, he will now turn his focus solely to jiu-jitsu and improving his academy.
After dropping a unanimous decision to Quinton Jackson at the promotion’s inaugural pay-per-view event, Lawal bounced back with a TKO victory over Dustin Jacoby in September. Meanwhile, DeBlass was 2-0 in Bellator, with wins over Jason Lambert and Carlos Brooks.
