A heavyweight clash between Derrick Lewis and Anthony Hamilton is official for UFC 192, promotion officials announced on Friday night.
UFC 192 takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston on Oct. 3 and is headlined by a light heavyweight title tilt between Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson. Another key 205-pound clash between Rashad Evans and Ryan Bader is also set for the pay-per-view event.
Lewis is 3-2 in UFC competition, with all three of his triumphs coming by way of knockout or technical knockout. “The Black Beast” last appeared at UFC Fight Night in New Orleans, where he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Shawn Jordan. All 12 of Lewis’ pro victories have come inside the distance.
Hamilton, meanwhile, has alternated wins and losses in his four Octagon appearances. He last competed at UFC Fight Night in Poland, taking a unanimous decision triumph over Daniel Omielanczuk. Hamilton is 14-4 as a professional overall.
