Diana Belbita-Ariane Lipski Flyweight Title Bout Added to KSW May 27 Stadium Show in Warsaw

Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki has added yet another title fight to its stadium event.

Monday, Poland's preeminent MMA promotion announced that it would crown its inaugural women's flyweight champion at KSW “Colosseum” between hot 125-pound prospects Diana Belbita and Ariane Lipski. The Belbita-Lipski bout is the fourth KSW title fight on the “Colosseum” card, joining heavyweight champ Fernando Rodrigues Jr. defending his strap against Marcin Rozalski, 205-pound ace Tomasz Narkun staking his crown against Marcin Wojcik and featherweight titlist Marcin Wrzosek staking his throne against Kleber Koike Erbst.

Headlined by a 181-pound fight between KSW's middleweight champion Mamed Khalidov and welterweight champion Borys Mankowski, “Colosseum” takes place on May 27 at Warsaw's PGE Narodowy Stadium, the home of the Polish national soccer team, which sports a seating capacity of approximately 58,415.

Former “World’s Strongest Man” Mariusz Pudzianowski and Olympic wrestling bronze medalist Damian Janikowski are also scheduled to appear on the card against yet-to-be-named opponents.

Lipski has won six bouts in a row with five knockouts, making her debut in the Polish promotion at KSW 33 in November 2011, knocking out Katarzyna Lubonska in the second round. At KSW 36 in October, the 23-year-old Brazilian striker levelled Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Sheila Gaff in just over two minutes.

Also on that KSW 36 bill, Romania's Belbita made her KSW debut, earning a unanimous decision over the aforementioned Lubonska. It was the first bout at flyweight for “The Warrior Princess.”
