Nine fights are now set for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s March 23 trip to Brazil, as promotion officials Tuesday verified a slew of new bouts for UFC Fight Night 38.
The show takes place at Nelio Dias Gymnasium in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, and is headlined by a light heavyweight rematch pitting Dan Henderson against Mauricio Rua.
UFC Fight Night 38 will additionally see C.B. Dollaway battle Cezar Ferreira at middleweight, while ‘TUF: Smashes’ winner Norman Parke faces Leonardo Santos at 155 pounds. Also at lightweight, Gleison Tibau will lock horns with Mairbek Taisumov, while Rony Mariano Bezerra meets Steven Siler at featherweight.
Onetime top-ranked flyweight Jussier da Silva will also appear on the card against former bantamweight contender Scott Jorgensen. Durable light heavyweight Fabio Maldonado will take on Gian Villante, while Ronny Markes will clash with Thiago Santos at middleweight. A welterweight matchup between Kenny Robertson and Thiago de Oliveira Perpetuo rounds out the confirmed bouts.
