Doo Ho Choi will square off against Andre Fili at UFC 214 on July 29.
The featherweight clash, which was announced by the UFC on Wednesday night, is the first contest confirmed for the event. UFC 214 takes place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., and airs on pay-per-view.
Choi, 26, is coming off a 2016 “Fight of the Year” performance against Cub Swanson at UFC 206. While “The Korean Superboy” lost a decision to Swanson at the Dec. 10 event, he was able to raise his stock in defeat. Prior to facing Swanson, the South Korea native won his first three Octagon appearances, finishing Thiago Tavares, Sam Sicilia and Juan Manuel Puig inside of a round.
Fili, meanwhile, is 4-3 during his Octagon tenure. The 26-year-old Team Alpha Male product last appeared at UFC Fight Night 96 in October, when he earned a three-round verdict over Hacran Dias. Fili is 16-4 as a professional overall, with 11 triumphs coming inside the distance.
