A pair of women’s bouts have been added to the Bellator 174 preliminary draw, as Alexis Dufrense will face Gabrielle Holloway in a featherweight tilt, while Emily Ducote will lock horns with Katy Collins at flyweight.
Sherdog.com confirmed the pairings with a promotion official on Tuesday. Bellator 174 takes place the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, Okla., on March 3 and is headlined by a bout between Marloes Coenen and Julia Budd for the promotion’s inaugural featherweight strap.
Dufresne notably owns a win over Coenen, as she submitted the Dutch veteran with a triangle armbar in the opening round of their Bellator 155 encounter on May 20. However, “Sneaky Zebra” missed weight for the bout by nearly five pounds. Holloway enters the matchup on a two-fight losing streak, including a decision loss to Amanda Bell at King of the Cage “Heavy Trauma” on Feb. 4.
Ducote had a four-bout winning streak snapped at Bellator 167, where she dropped a unanimous verdict to Ilima-Lei Mac farlane. Collins, meanwhile, will enter her Bellator debut on a five-fight winning streak.
