A lightweight showdown between Edson Barboza and Michael Johnson will serve as the co-main event when the Ultimate Fighting Championship heads to Porto Alegre, Brazil, on Feb. 22.

Promotion officials announced the pairing on Sunday. UFC Fight Night "Evans vs. Teixeira" takes place at the Gigantinho Gymnasium and is headlined by a 205-pound matchup between Rashad Evans and Glover Teixeira.

A native of Rio de Janeiro, the 28-year-old Barboza has tasted defeat just twice in 11 Octagon appearances. He went 2-1 in 2014, rebounding from a first-round submission loss to Donald Cerrone in April with back-to-back triumphs over Evan Dunham and Bobby Green.

Johnson, 28, enters the bout having bested Joe Lauzon, Gleison Tibau and Melvin Guillard in his last three outings. The Blackzilians representative hasn’t competed since March 8, when he captured a three-round verdict over Guillard at UFC Fight Night in London.
