Emmanuel Sanchez will meet Daniel Pineda at Bellator 149 in Houston on Feb. 19.
Promotion officials announced the featherweight clash, which will be part of the main card, on Wednesday. Bellator 149 takes place at Toyota Center and is headlined by a trilogy bout between Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock. Meanwhile, Kimbo Slice and Dhafir "Dada 5000" Harris will square off in the co-main event. The main draw airs on Spike TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
Anchored at Roufusport, Sanchez has established himself as a person of interest in the Scott Coker-led promotion with victories in four of his first five appearances. Most recently, “El Matador” took a hard-fought split verdict against ex-UFC talent Justin Lawrence at Bellator 145 on Nov. 6.
A seven-time UFC veteran, Pineda enters the matchup on a three-fight winning streak, with all of those triumphs coming under the Legacy Fighting Championship banner. Pineda had a brief two-fight stint in Bellator from 2009 to 2010, losing both of his appearances.
