Entry to UFC 229 Presser Requires Purchase of Conor McGregor’s New Whiskey, Fighter Claims

Anticipation for Thursday’s UFC 229 press conference, where fans will get to see the first encounter between Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and his opponent, Irish superstar and former champ Conor McGregor, is already at fever pitch.

The event was initially closed to the public, but in true McGregor style he’s tweeted out that it will now be open. There’s only one catch: Attendees must buy a bottle of his new Proper No. Twelve whiskey, which is produced by McGregor’s company, Eire Born Spirits. Attendees who wish to beat the queues can purchase two bottles, which will jump the buyer to the front of the line.

The UFC 229 press conference will take place from Radio City Hall in New York City on Thursday, Sept. 20, starting at 5 p.m. ET. It should be noted that only McGregor and Nurmagomedov will be the only fighters featuring at this press conference.
