Ericka Almeida will make her initial Octagon foray against Juliana de Lima Carneiro at UFC Fight Night "Condit vs. Alves" on May 30.

Promotion officials recently announced the strawweight matchup. Lima was originally scheduled to face Jessica Penne but found herself in need of a new opponent when Penne was moved to a 115-pound title tilt opposite Joanna Jedrzejczyk in Berlin on June 20.

The UFC Fight Night event takes place at Goiana Arena in Goiana, Brazil and is headlined by a welterweight showdown between Carlos Condit and Thiago Alves.

Almeida is unbeaten in seven professional outings. The 26-year-old Sao Paulo native has finished all seven of her triumphs inside the distance, including six via submission. Almeida last competed at Jungle Fight 76, where she forced Jennifer Gonzalez to tap to a triangle choke in the first round.

Lima, meanwhile, earned her first promotional triumph last November, as she took a unanimous decision over Nina Ansaroff at UFC Fight Night “Shogun vs. St. Preux.” The 33-year-old, who is 7-2 as a professional overall, dropped a unanimous verdict to Jedrzejczyk in her UFC debut.
