The card for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s first trip to Milwaukee since 2013 is beginning to take shape, as Erik Koch will meet Dwight Grant at welterweight, while Jared Gordon will face Joaquim Silva at lightweight on Dec. 15.
The promotion recently confirmed the pairings to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. UFC Fight Night 143 takes place at the Fiserv Forum and will likely be televised on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass. A headliner for the card has not been announced.
Koch has lost three of his last four Octagon appearances while competing at lightweight, including a decision defeat to Bobby Green in his most recent outing at UFC on Fox 27. Grant, meanwhile, will be making his UFC debut after knocking out Tyler Hill in the second round of their bout at Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series on June 19.
Gordon had a five-fight winning streak come to an end in a first-round TKO loss to Carlos Diego Ferreira at UFC Fight Night 126, but “Flash” later revealed some extenuating circumstances that may have contributed to that defeat. Silva suffered his first loss in 11 professional outings at UFC on Fox 27, as he was outpointed by Vinc Pichel on Jan. 27.
