Talented young featherweights Arnold Allen and Mirsad Bektic will square off at UFC 204 in Manchester on Oct. 8.
The promotion announced the pairing on Thursday. UFC 204 takes place at Manchester Arena and is headlined by a middleweight championship clash between Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson.
The 22-year-old Allen kicked off his Octagon tenure with a submission victory over Alan Omer at UFC Fight Night “Jedrzejczyk vs. Penne” in June 2015 before outpointing Yaotzin Meza in his most recent outing at UFC Fight Night in London this past February. The English fighter is 11-1 over the course of a pro career that has also included a stint with Cage Warriors Fighting Championship.
Becktic, meanwhile, has vanquished Chas Skelly, Paul Redmond and Lucas Martin in three UFC appearances thus far. He has not competed since stopping Martins in the second round at UFC Fight Night “Condit vs. Alves” in May 2015. The 25-year-old American Top Team product is 10-0 as a professional with stops in Resurrection Fighting Alliance, Titan Fighting Championship and Victory Fighting Championship.
