A featherweight clash pitting Clay Guida against Brian Ortega has been added to the UFC 199 lineup.
The Las Vegas-based promotion announced the bout on Wednesday. UFC 199 takes place at the Forum in Las Angeles on June 4 and is headlined by a middleweight title rematch between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman.
Guida is 3-3 at featherweight since moving down a division following a lengthy stint at 155 pounds. Most recently, “The Carpenter” suffered a 39-second submission loss to Thiago Tavares at UFC Fight Night “Belfort vs. Henderson 3” last November.
Ortega, meanwhile, is unbeaten in his 11-bout pro career, although he did have a win over Mike de la Torre at UFC on Fox 12 overturned due to a failed drug test. Ortega has since rebounded to post back-to-back finishes of Diego Brandao and Tavares in his last two Octagon appearances.
