In his first action since losing a five-round decision to reigning featherweight titlist Jose Aldo in February, Ricardo Lamas will square off with Hacran Dias on June 28 in San Antonio.
Prior to falling to Aldo at UFC 169, Lamas was unbeaten in four featherweight appearances with the promotion. The Chicago native known as “The Bully” bested Matt Grice, Swanson, Hatsu Hioki and Erik Koch in succession before falling short in his title bid.
A 29-year-old Nova Uniao product, Dias had a nine-fight winning streak stopped at UFC on FX 8, where he fell via unanimous decision to Nik Lentz. “Barnabe” debuted in the Octagon in June 2012, taking a three-round verdict over Iuri Alcantara at UFC 147.
