“The Ultimate Fighter 20” alum Bec Rawlings has been forced to withdraw from her UFC Fight Night encounter against fellow cast member Joanne Calderwood after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in her thighbone.
As a result, Cortney Casey will face Calderwood on eight days’ notice. The Las Vegas-based promotion announced the change on Friday. The UFC Fight Night event takes place on July 18 at the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow and is headlined by a middleweight clash between Michael Bisping and Thales Leites.

“I started to [experience] pain in my hip [and] groin [and] figured it was labrum damage, so I had a cortisone injection [and] trained through the pain a few more days until I could no longer walk without wanting to cry…” Rawlings wrote. “It turns out I have a [half inch] long stress fracture in my femoral neck that I had been trying to train on [and] walk on for days.
“Believe me no one is more devastated than me,” she continued. “I invested six weeks out here in the U.S. away from my family to get ready for this fight [and] spent at least [$4,000] on flights and expenses this camp to have my body break on me [two] weeks from the fight.”
Casey, 28, is based out of Phoenix and owns a 4-1 professional mark, with all of her victories coming inside of a round. She last competed at Pacific Xtreme Combat 47, where she stopped Helen Harper 3:47 into the opening stanza.
Calderwood, meanwhile, will be fighting on home soil as she attempts to rebound from an upset loss to Maryna Moroz at UFC Fight Night in Poland on April 11. “JoJo” debuted in the Octagon with a unanimous verdict over Seo Hee Ham at the “TUF 20” finale.
