Chris Lytle (Pictures)'s opponent on July 7, reports Sherdog.com's Mike Sloan. Fickett (29-5-0)
last fought in April, defeating Japan's
Keita Nakamura (Pictures) on points. Lytle (22-14-5) looks to rebound following a March decision loss to former
UFC 170-pound champion
Matt Hughes (Pictures).
Lytle-Fickett compliments the undercard of UFC 73 "Stacked," which features two UFC title fights at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, Calif.
Anderson Silva is set to defend his middleweight belt against
Nathan Marquardt (Pictures), and
Sean Sherk (Pictures) makes his first defense of the lightweight
belt when he steps in against
Hermes Franca (Pictures). Also,
Rashad Evans (Pictures) is slated to fight
Tito Ortiz (Pictures) in a light heavyweight contest, and it's
expected that former PRIDE heavyweight champion
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (Pictures) will make his Octagon debut against
Heath Herring (Pictures).
