Jason Winther has joined Adam Smith as the second mixed martial artist to test positive for anabolic agents and drugs of abuse in California.

The positive test results stem from a fight Winter (1-2) lost Nov. 3 in Placerville, Calif. Initially, he was found to have a combination of methadone and morphine in his system, prompting the California State Athletic Commission to suspend him through July 30, 2008 and fine him $1,500.

On Monday, the CSAC increased Winther's suspension term to 21 months and upped his fine to a total of $4,000 when it announced he also tested positive for stanozolol and trenbolone metabolites.
