Carson Blaszak, a witness from Pettis’ neighborhood, recorded the fire at approximately 1 a.m.
“I saw a car speeding through the neighborhood,” Blaszak said.
"Right around the same time as that happened, there was kind of a large bang. It was three cars caught on fire. I just, I ran outside, and I was hoping, you know, the house hopefully wasn't gonna catch on fire.”
Blaszak added that the fire department arrived to take care of the fire before it could spread further. No one was injured in the blaze. According to the report, Pettis is not yet ready to do interviews regarding the incident. Police are still searching for suspects.
On Wednesday it was announced that Pettis has been booked to face Max Holloway at UFC 206 in Toronto on Dec. 10. A former UFC and WEC 155-pound king, Pettis moved to the featherweight division following consecutive losses to Edson Barboza, Eddie Alvarez and Rafael dos Anjos. His 145-pound debut proved successful, as “Showtime” submitted Oliveira with a guillotine choke 1:49 into the third stanza at UFC on Fox 21.
