Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor to be Broadcast in Select Movie Theaters on Aug. 26

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will be hitting the big screen next month.

According to a release, Mayweather Promotions has partnered with Fathom Events to broadcast the highly anticipated boxing match in select U.S. theaters on Aug. 26. The broadcast will begin at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, allowing fans to also view the undercard bouts for the event. A list of participating theaters can be viewed at FathomEvents.com. Tickets can be purchased at the website or at theater box offices.

"The buzz that my fight against Conor McGregor is getting has been great already, so what better way to watch this larger than life event than on the big screen?" Mayweather said in a release. "We brought boxing back to movie theaters eight years ago and it was a huge success, but this event is on a different level and I'm so glad we are giving fans another way to see all the action. Grab your popcorn because this is a fight no one will want to miss.”

Mayweather has had multiple boxing matches broadcast in theaters over the years. While the pay-per-view will cost $99.95 to order at home in high definition, tickets to view the fight in theaters appear to be $40 in most locations.

Mayweather and McGregor will square off at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in a 12-round boxing match. The two men recently completed a four-city media tour to promote the bout, which figures to be a massive pay-per-view draw. Now, fans have another options to watch the fight.
