Flyweights Louis Gaudinot, Tim Elliott Booked for UFC 164 in Milwaukee




A flyweight showdown between Louis Gaudinot and Tim Elliott is set to go down at UFC 164.

UFC officials announced the news during Tuesday’s episode of “UFC Tonight” on Fuel TV. UFC 164 takes place Aug. 31 at BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee and is headlined by a lightweight title showdown which pits champion Benson Henderson against challenger T.J. Grant.

Gaudinot, 28, joined the UFC in 2011 following a stint as an undersized bantamweight on “The Ultimate Fighter 14.” Following a technical knockout loss to castmate Johnny Bedford at the live finale, “Goodnight” returned to 125 pounds for his next outing, a second-round technical submission win over hard-hitting Brazilian John Lineker last year at UFC on Fox 3. Gaudinot was then expected to return to the cage last October against Darren Uyenoyama, but an injury forced Gaudinot to withdraw from that booking.

Elliott last competed in December, when he took a unanimous decision from Jared Papazian at the “TUF 16” finale. Since posting a 0-2-1 record to begin his pro career, Elliott has won nine of his last 10, with only a decision loss to John Dodson in his UFC debut marring his record in that span.
