Once-beaten Filipino import Eduard Folayang will lock horns with Sengoku Raiden Championship veteran A Sol Kwon in the One Fighting Championship “Champion vs. Champion” headliner on Saturday at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Sherdog.com will stream the event live at 7 a.m. ET/4 a.m. PT.
Folayang (9-1) last appeared at Martial Combat 12 in October, when he posted a unanimous decision over Vuyisile Colossa at the Compass Ballroom at Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre in Sentosa, Singapore. The 26-year-old Universal Reality Combat Championship welterweight titleholder will carry a four-fight winning streak into the match. Folayang has secured six of his nine wins by knockout or submission.
Kwon will ride a career-best six-fight winning streak into the bout. The 26-year-old South Korean last competed at Deep “54 Impact” on June 24, when he posted a unanimous decision over Yoshihiro Tomioka at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Kwon has delivered more than half (nine) of his 17 career victories by knockout or technical knockout. He has not been finished in nearly four years.
Other notable matchups at the One FC premiere include a welterweight tilt pairing Yoshiyuki Yoshida with fellow UFC veteran Phil Baroni, a lightweight duel pitting “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 5 alum Andy Wang against fellow Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Zorobabel Moreira and a welterweight bout matching two-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion Gregor Gracie with Pancrase veteran Seok Mo Kim.
