Bellator MMA lightweight Marcin Held announced on Tuesday that he has signed with the UFC.

The news is not especially surprising, as the Polish submission specialist became a free agent earlier this month and expressed his desire to join the Las Vegas-based promotion. Held did not reveal exact terms of the deal. It is currently unknown when Held will make his Octagon debut.

The 24-year-old made his Bellator debut in March 2011, falling to Michael Chandler via arm-triangle choke. He would go on to compile an 11-3 mark in the California-based promotion but come up short in a 155-pound title bid against Will Brooks at Bellator 145, dropping a five-round verdict.

Held is 22-4 as a professional overall with 12 wins via submission and four by KO/TKO. He owns notable triumphs over the likes of Dave Jansen, Alexander Sarnavskiy, Patricky Freire, Derek Anderson, Rich Clementi and Phillipe Nover, to name a few.
