A battle of former 125-pound title challengers is set for UFC on Fox 29, when Wilson Reis faces John Moraga at UFC on Fox 29.

The Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed the flyweight pairing on Friday. UFC on Fox 29 takes place at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz., on April 14 and is headlined by a lightweight clash pitting Dustin Poirier against Justin Gaethje.

The 33-year-old Reis enters the matchup on a two-fight skid. After getting outclassed by Demetrious Johnson in a title bid at UFC on Fox 24, the Brazilian suffered a second-round technical knockout defeat to Henry Cejudo at UFC 215 in his most recent outing. The former Bellator talent is 6-4 in the Octagon overall.

A Phoenix native, Moraga turned things around in the second half of 2017. He halted a three-fight skid with a three-round verdict over Ashkan Mokhtarian at UFC Fight Night 110 and then earned one of his biggest victories to date with a first-round knockout of the highly touted Magomed Bibulatov at UFC 216 on Oct. 7. Moraga challenged for 125-pound gold in July 2013, falling to Johnson via fifth-round submission at UFC on Fox 8.
