Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champ Chuck Liddell Joins the Cast of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’

Chuck Liddell seems to have a thing for reality television.

Liddell, 48, is set to take part in the upcoming season of “Celebrity Big Brother.” CBS revealed the cast of the forthcoming season during the Sunday evening broadcast of the 60th annual Grammy Awards. “The Iceman” joins a cast that features former basketball star Metta World Peace, “American Pie” actress Shannon Elizabeth, former White House aide Omarosa Manigault, and Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath.

The first American season of “Celebrity Big Brother” premieres on Feb. 7 and is set to conclude on Feb. 25.

The former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight kingpin made his reality television debut with his mainstay promotion’s breakthrough “Ultimate Fighter” reality vehicle in 2005, coaching opposite rival Randy Couture. The season concluded with a rematch between the pair at UFC 52, where Liddell knocked “The Natural” out in the first round to claim the UFC 205-pound title.

“The Ultimate Fighter” is not Liddell’s only reality television appearance, however. Liddell also cameoed on the ninth season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” finishing 11th out of 16 celebrities.

Liddell last fought in June 2010, when he was knocked out by former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin in the first round at UFC 115 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
