Four Bouts Announced for HERO'S March Card

K-1 and HERO'S parent company Fight Entertainment Group has officially announced another four fights for the upcoming HERO'S card at Nagoya Rainbow Hall on March 12.

Former Shooto world champion and current Cage Rage champion Vitor Ribeiro (Pictures) will make his long-awaited HERO'S debut, squaring off against former DEEP titlist Ryuki Ueyama (Pictures). "Shoalin" was originally scheduled to compete in HERO'S last year, as part of their 154-pound tournament, but those plans didn't materialize due to injuries sustained by the Brazilian prior to the beginning of the tournament.

Sydney Games Olympian Kazuyuki Miyata (Pictures) will return to action, taking on "Black Mamba" Kultar Gill (Pictures). Miyata, who has more recently competed on the wrestling mats, last fought in October, avenging a loss to tough Australian veteran Ian James Schaffa (Pictures). Gill recently appeared on the second season of bodogFIGHT, where he was submitted by Rodrigo Damm.

In a pairing of potent strikers, HERO'S resident bad boy Hiroyuki Takaya (Pictures) will return to the ring for the first time since his crushing knockout loss to Gesias Calvancanti (Pictures) last August, to meet Chute Boxe upstart Andre Dida.

An exciting striker in the Chute Boxe mold, the 23-year-old Dida has cut his teeth in the Curitiba, Brazil-based Storm Samurai events, and is coming off of a quick and quite literal stomping of Felipe Borges this past November.

Also in action, 2006 HERO'S 154-pound tournament runner-up Caol Uno (Pictures) will return to in-ring action against unheralded Egyptian Ali Ibrahim.
