“[Alistair Overeem] been mentioning my name everywhere,” Ngannou wrote on Twitter. “I’m now open and free for you guy. Let’s do this at [UFC 215].”

UFC 215 is three weeks away, and while the promotion is searching for a replacement foe for Ngannou, it is unclear if Overeem would be willing to take such a high-profile bout on short notice. The Jackson-Wink MMA product last appeared at UFC 213, where he captured a majority decision against Fabricio Werdum. Overeem has won six of his last seven in the Octagon overall, with his only defeat coming in a title bout against Stipe Miocic at UFC 203.
The 30-year-old Ngannou is currently riding a nine-fight winning streak. Five of those triumphs have occurred in UFC competition, with each victory ending inside of two rounds. Most recently, “The Predator” scored a first-round TKO of Andrei Arlovski at UFC on Fox 23.
