A bantamweight clash pitting Frankie Saenz against Merab Dvalishvili has been added to the UFC Fight Night 123 lineup.
The Las Vegas-based promotion recently confirmed the booking. UFC Fight Night 123 takes place at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., on Dec. 9 and is headlined by a featherweight tilt between Cub Swanson and Brian Ortega. The evening’s main card airs on Fox Sports 1.
Saenz enters the bout on a three-fight losing streak after falling to Urijah Faber, Eddie Wineland and Augusto Mendes in succession. The 37-year-old Phoenix resident began his promotional tenure with three consecutive triumphs. He owns an 11-5 career mark.
Dvalishvili will be making his UFC debut. The Serra-Longo Fight Team representative has competed for organizations such as Ring of Combat, CES MMA and Cage Fury Fighting Championships while compiling a 7-2 record. He last competed at ROC 59, knocking out Raufeon Stots with a spinning back fist 15 seconds into the opening stanza of their June 2 encounter.
