Fujita Added to Open-Weight Grand Prix

Ending months of speculation, PRIDE announced on its Web site
Thursday the signing of Kazuyuki Fujita (Pictures), who makes his return to the
Japanese promotion May 5 at "Total Elimination Absolute." Fujita, a
240-pound heavyweight known for his stout chin, enters the
tournament against a yet-to-be-named opponent.
The Japanese fighter burst onto the mixed martial arts scene six years ago at PRIDE's debut Grand Prix with a shocking victory over Mark Kerr, and heads into this tournament enjoying a three-fight win streak, including a victory over Bob Sapp (Pictures).
Fujita's most recent appearance in PRIDE saw him go down to defeat against the promotion's heavyweight champion, Fedor Emelianenko (Pictures).
