Osterneck quickly throws Meyers to the mat. He takes his back and drops punches down on his opponent's head until the referee halts the contest. The official time is not announced, but it was less than 30 seconds.
George Bush (Pictures) vs. Vinicius "Pezao" Magalhaes
Round 1
Magalhaes grazes a right head kick off the temple of Bush. Bush opens up with a left hand. Magalhaes connects with a left kick to the body. Not much action thus far. Bush lands a hard low kick and swings wildly. Another hard low kick for Bush. Magalhaes hits another hard body kick. Magalhaes is bleeding over his right eye. Pereira dominates Whitt and forces a tap from a rear naked choke late in the first round. Whitt, a last day replacement, fought hard but was unable to deal with the Brazilian's ground game.
Matt Brown vs. Daniel Moraes (Pictures)
Round 1
Right hand then a low kick score for Moraes. The Brazilian trips the action to the canvas. Moraes working from half-guard. Moraes moves to mount. Moraes quickly postures up and secures an armbar that forces a tap at the 2:32 mark of the first stanza.
Phil Cardella (Pictures) vs. Rafael Dias (Pictures)
Round 1
Cardella tries to counter a slam with a flying triangle but Dias escapes. Dias working from Cardella's open-guard. Dias moves to half-guard. The action slows to a crawl as the BJJ black belts fight for position. Dias, now back in full-guard, tripods and throws punches downward. Cardella elbows Dias' head from the bottom. Dias counters some wild strikes with a takedown. Dias goes for a guillotine but Cardella defends. The American works from half-guard from the top position. Maia scores a takedown a quickly moves to half-guard then mount. Stout reverses position and now works from his opponent's open-guard. Stout is hurt during a sweep and the fight is stopped. Stout has suffered an obvious dislocation of the right shoulder. Damian Maia wins early in round 1.

Brena answers a flurry by pulling guard. Brennan forces a tap via toehold very early in the round.
Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza (Pictures) vs. Bill Vucick (Pictures)
Round 1
Jacare jabs before scoring a takedown. Jacare working from side-control. Jacare moves to mount and blasts away with punches until his opponent taps out from punishment.
Branden Lee Hinkle (Pictures) vs. Alexandre Ferreira
Round 1
In a night of lighting fast bouts, Cacareco throws Hinkle to the mat and quickly forces a tap with a heel hook at 0:37 of the first frame.
Thomas Denny (Pictures) vs. Fredson Paixao (Pictures)

Fredson shoots but Denny has none of it. Denny opens up with a one-two but Fredson blocks both. Fredson scores the fight's first takedown. He looks for an arm but settles for knee-on-belly. Denny escapes back to his feet. Denny lands an elbow and a right hand. Fredson again takes the fight to the ground. Paixao looks for an omaplata and a toe hold but Denny defends. Fredson moves back to mount before finishing Denny with an armbar at 4:32 of the first round to claim the GFC welterweight belt.
