A heavyweight showdown between Gabriel Gonzaga and Konstantin Erokhin is slated for “The Ultimate Fighter 22” finale on Dec. 11.

Promotion official announced the pairing on Friday. The “TUF 22” finale takes place at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas and is headlined by a featherweight clash between Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes.

A onetime heavyweight title challenger, Gonzaga enters the bout on a three-fight losing skid. In his most recent appearance, “Napao” was stopped by Mirko Filipovic in the third round of their rematch at UFC Fight Night in Poland on April 11. The Brazilian owns an 11-9 record in UFC competition.

Erokhin had a nine-fight winning streak snapped in his Octagon debut, as he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Viktor Pesta at UFC on Fox 14. The 33-year-old Moscow native has finished eight of his nine career triumphs via knockout or technical knockout.
