Geane Herrera will step in for the injured Justin Scoggins and square off with Joby Sanchez at "The Ultimate Fighter 22" finale next week.
The UFC recently announced the change to the flyweight bout. The “TUF 22” finale takes place at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on Dec. 11 and is headlined by a featherweight showdown between Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes.
Herrera suffered his first professional loss in his Octagon debut, dropping a unanimous decision to Ray Borg at UFC Fight Night “Teixeira vs. St. Preux” on Aug. 8. “La Pulga” began his career with eight straight triumphs and has finished five of his opponents by way of submission.
After falling to Wilson Reis in his initial promotional foray, Sanchez captured a split-decision triumph against Tateki Matsuda at UFC Fight Night in Boston on Jan. 18. The Jackson-Wink MMA representative is 7-1 during his pro tenure, with all but one of his wins inside the distance.
