As he promised, Gegard Mousasi will remain on the UFC Fight Night London card.
The Las Vegas-based promotion announced on Thursday that Mousasi will face Thales Leites in the co-main event on Feb. 27 at the O2 Arena in London. UFC Fight Night is headlined by a middleweight title between Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping and airs on UFC Fight Pass.
Mousasi went 2-1 in 2015, besting Dan Henderson and Costas Philippou before suffering a second-round TKO loss in his last outing against Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night “Barnett vs. Nelson.” The former Strikeforce champion is 4-3 in the Octagon overall.
Leites, meanwhile, hasn’t competed since losing a split decision to Bisping at UFC Fight Night in Glasgow on July 18. Prior to that setback, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace had won eight straight fights, including five in the UFC.
