George Sullivan will lock horns with Marcio Alexandre Jr. at "The Ultimate Fighter 21" finale on July 12.
Promotion officials recently announced the welterweight contest. The “TUF 21” finale takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a 170-pound clash between Jake Ellenberger and Stephen Thompson.
Sullivan saw an eight-fight winning streak come to an end at UFC on Fox 15 when he was submitted by Tim Means via arm-triangle choke 3:41 into round three. The Ring of Combat and Cage Fury Fighting Championship veteran had bested Mike Rhodes and Igor Araujo in his first two Octagon appearances.
A finalist on Season 3 of “TUF: Brazil,” Alexandre is still looking for his first promotional triumph after suffering back-to-back losses against Warlley Alves and Means. Prior to his UFC debut, “Lyoto” was unbeaten in 11 professional outings.
