By Tristen Critchfield Feb 5, 2015

The heavyweight title clash between Rico Verhoeven and Errol Zimmerman is now official for Glory 19, as both fighters hit their marks at Thursday’s weigh-ins.

Verhoeven weighed 252 pounds, while Zimmerman checked in a 247 pounds ahead of their headlining bout, which takes place at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va., on Friday night. The Glory 19 six-bout main card airs live on Spike TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Elsewhere, current Bellator MMA talent Joe Schilling (187) returns to the Glory ring against Robert Thomas (185.5) in the evening’s co-main event. Also on tap is a four-man welterweight contender tournament, as Nieky Holzken (168.5) meets Aleksandr Stetcurenko (167.5), and Raymond Daniels (167.5) battles Jonatan Oliveira (168).

The reigning Glory heavyweight king, Verhoeven defeated Daniel Ghita at Glory 17 “Los Angeles” to capture the promotion’s title. The 25-year-old Dutchman is 44-10 with 10 KO/TKO victories to his credit.

Zimmerman, meanwhile, earned his shot at the belt by besting Ben Edwards and Anderson Silva in a one-night, heavyweight tournament at Glory 16 in Denver this past May.
